In-depth training and technical advice for proficiency tests in India

QuoData can look back at more than 20 years of experience in the planning and evaluation of proficiency tests (PT). As part of a project of the European Commission, a Data Scientist of the QuoData shared his experience and basics in the evaluation of proficiency tests with selected food safety scientists from 22nd – 26th May 2017 in Mumbai, India.

Proficiency tests according to ISO 17043 and ISO 13528, the international standards for PT providers, were the main topic of the training and consulting session. By means of real life examples, the execution of a PT and the comprehensive interpretation of the results were illustrated. Therefore, the QuoData software PROLab was utilized. The Software is developed specifically for the evaluation of PTs and method validation studies.

The project was conducted as part of the TAIEX program (Technical Assistance and Information Exchange) of the European Commission and besides the Data Scientist of the QuoData, an expert of the German Federal Office of Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL) conducted the training. You can find an overview of the main topics on the TAIEX website.

The transfer of knowledge and exchange with other experts plays an important role at QuoData.
