  • 2 January | Steffen Uhlig appointed to SWGGSR

    QuoData's CEO, Steffen Uhlig, has been appointed to the Scientific Working Group for Gunshot Residue (SWGGSR).

    The working group is sponsored by the US National Institute of Justice and makes recommendations for internationally accepted guidelines for the forensic examination of gunshot residues.

    Steffen Uhlig will support the committee as expert on statistics.

    The 10th Sensor-Symposium of the Research Society for Measurement-, Sensor- and Medical Technology is taking place in Dresden on 5-7 December.

    The Biotechnica 2011 took place on 11-13 October in Hannover. This leading European event was an opportunity for its over 11000 visitors to acquaint themselves with innovations, products and know-how in biotechnology and the life sciences.

    QuoData GmbH presented itself to interested visitors at its own stand.

    This week the English-language workshop “Working with ProLab and ProLab Plus” is taking place at QuoData.

    This is a unique opportunity for the participants, for instance from the FDA, to familiarize themselves with our software and its statistical background.

  • 18th August 2011 | GSR 2011 PT completed

    A total of 57 forensic laboratories participated in this year’s international proficiency test for the identification of gunshot residue (GSR) particles with SEM/EDX, of which 39 from EU countries and 10 from the USA. This year also marked the first time for newcomer Lithuania, participating with one laboratory.

    Steffen Uhlig published in collaboration with L. Niewöhner and P. Gowik an article in the journal “Accreditation and Quality Assurance”.

  • 25th July 2011 | DIN meeting at quo data GmbH

    On 25th July a meeting of a DIN working group took place on our premises.

    The working group deals with design and assessment of interlaboratory studies used for validation of homogeneity concerning different microbiological detection methods.

    Dieses internationale Komitee berät über die Standardisierung der Anwendung statistischer Methoden und die Interpretation von Daten. 

  • 5th July 2011 | FDA purchases ProLab Plus

    We welcome US Food and Drug Administration in the ProLab community.

    As of now the National Center for Food Safety and Technology of FDA is working with ProLab Plus - our software for proficiency testing.

  • 29th June 2011 | Manuscript accepted for publication in Journal of Chromatography A!

    A manuscript on statistical methods of congener profile analysis of samples contaminated with dioxin and dioxin-like compounds has been accepted for publication in Journal of Chromatography A.

    In this article we demonstrate that common methods cannot be employed to reach court-proof decisions, i.e. decisions which meet court evidentiary standards.

    Biotechnica is the European leading trade fair in the field of biotechnology and life sciences. Quo data GmbH has one of its core competences in this sector and wants to present Ssoftware products, services and also current research projects to the professional audience on Biotechnica from 11th to 13th October.

  • 27th May 2011 | Results of REWE Team Challenge

    Two teams of QuoData GmbH successfully participated in the REWE-Team Challenge, a sporting challenge through Dresden’s old town.

    Our men team achieved with a total time of 1h 44 min the 263rd place. The mixed team needed 2h 4 min for this run and achieved the 564thplace. Altogether more than 1.200 teams took part on this event.

    Our runners received certificates and got cheered during their sprint to Dresden’s Glücksgasstadion by lots of spectators.

  • Die QuoData GmbH beteiligt sich am größten Firmenlauf Dresdens - der REWE Team Challenge.

    Dabei geht es den knapp 6.000 Läufern natürlich nicht nur um den Sieg, auch das kreativste Outfit soll gekürt werden.

     

    2011 werden erstmals auch zwei sportliche Teams der QuoData an den Start gehen und am 25. Mai durch die Dresdner Altstadt laufen.

    The Saxon Biotechnology Symposium attracted each year over 250 researchers discussing advances in molecular biology, medicine, biophysics and bioinformatics.

    This year QuoData presents itself with a poster at the symposium.

    We updated our software packages InterVal and InterVal Plus (for In-house Validations) as well as OptiVal (for the Adaption and Optimization of chemical-analytical Measurement Processes).

  • 2010 | On-Chip-Detection of phyto-pathogenical RNA Viruses

    The R&D project develops a rapid test for the detection of phyto-pathogenical RNA viruses in plants as a lab-on-a-chip system. QuoData supports the project with its extensive know-how about factorial design and optimization of measurement parameters to statistically verify the measurement.

  • 2010 | BioLED Sensor for the Detection of Steroids

    QuoData is the coordinator of the research project and responsible for the mathematical-statistical analysis of the measured data. The project aims for the development of a biological measuring system for the accumulation and detection of steroids and steroid-like substances in watery samples.

  • 2009 | Steffen Uhlig is member of standards comitee „Food and Agricultural Products“
